On Your Mark...Get Set...11-Week "Ace Your Office Space" Contest Begins
Disorganized office workers may now register for the "Ace Your Office Space" contest, conducted by Organize IT, at www.organizeitbiz.com or U.S. Mail.
MILWAUKEE, WI September 16, 2004 -- Beginning September 15, 2004, messy office workers throughout the country were given the call to register to see if they stack up among the most disorganized in the country via the Ace Your Office Space contest conducted by Organize IT.
Submissions will be taken through December 6, 2004, with the winner announced during the first week of January 2005 which coincides with National Association of Professional Organizers Week. The winner will receive a Verizon Wireless PalmOneTreo 600 Smartphone and five hours of professional organizing guidance by Organize IT owner, and nationally-respected professional organizer, Barb Friedman.
Entries, which require a brief essay and photo of the work space in question, may be submitted to www.organizeitbiz.com or by printing a form from the site and mailing the information to Organize IT/ Ace Your Office Space, P.O. Box 241412, Milwaukee, WI 53224.
Being disorganized has an expensive downside, Friedman said. Thousands of dollars are lost or never realized because of people trying to find folders, pieces of paper or important elements associated with their jobs.
The public will be able to weigh in on the messiest work spaces in the first nine weeks of the contest, with five designated judges from around the United States to decide the final winner. Voting will open October 1 at www.organizeitbiz.com.
We want people to emerge from their piles and frustration and see that changing daily habits can help to make a person more relaxed, productive and their projects more lucrative, Friedman said.
Friedman, a past president of the Wisconsin chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers, and producer of CDs entitled Dont AgonizeOrganize Your Paper! and Dont Agonize...Organize Your Home! shares tips and tactics at www.organizeitbiz.com
